“It was sunny from October 3, so we continued to work for digging dinosaurs’ fossil though it is holiday”, said the Dongyang museum curator Chen Rongjun who was in Yangyan Village of Ma Zhai town in Dongyang where is the place of dinosaurs’ fossil yesterday. He said that now there is a carapace of an ankylosaurus appears and maybe they could find other kind of dinosaurs’ fossil.
Lat October, a villager in Dongyang found there were fossils of dinosaurs. After one year preparation, researchers from Dongyang museum, Zhejiang Natural Museum and Japanese Fukui Prefecture Dinosaurs Museum started to dig the fossils. (Reported before)
Reporters saw that Jin Xingsheng, the deputy curator of Zhejiang Natural Dinosaurs Museum Shibata Tadashi 辉 and Chinese Academy of Geological Science paleontologist Lv Junchang taking peeler, hammer and hairbrush to clean the rocks.
For digging the fossils of dinosaurs, Yangyan Village has become a tourist spot during the National Day holiday; a lot of citizens came here and had a look about the digging process.
