On August the 18th, Wu Weirong, Secretary of CPC Yiwu Committee, inspected the work progress of the ongoing projects: Phase III of the International Trade City and the new market for furniture trade. He urged that the two markets should by all means be put into use before the Yiwu Fair. The main parts of the two projects were completed in March this year, and the whole projects are winding up now. Wu Weirong emphasized that after the completion of the two projects, importance should be attached to the construction of supporting and auxiliary facilities, especially the traffic coordination within and around the Phase III market. Meanwhile, more efforts should go to the planning of the second section of the Phase III market, so as to have a good beginning of its construction. Wu also stressed that attention should be paid to the environment improvement in areas around the new furniture market, to ensure that it will be a market with pleasant surroundings.
