Introduction meeting of CISMEF held in Yiwu

The introduction meeting by the organizing committee of the 5th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) and Sino-Korea Small and Medium Enterprises Fair was recently held in Yiwu . This fair is jointly sponsored by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Develop ment and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce ,State Administration for Industry and Commerce, State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, China Banking Regulatory Commission, the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, Ministry of Knowledge Economy of ROK, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of ROK, and Small and Medium Enterprises Government, ROK. The date of the fair is from Sept . 22 to 25 ,2008 and will be held in Guangzhou International Conference and Exhibition Center (China Export Commodities Fair Pazhou Complex).

With 5000 standard booths, the CISMEF is composed of nine pavilions for various industries and five special exhibition areas . The former are Electronics and IT Products, Household Electrical Appliance, Machinery and Equipment, Textiles and Garments, Footwear, Headgear, Cases and Bags, Toys and Crafts , Food and Medicine ,Furniture and Illuminations ,and Ceramics and Building Materials, and the latter are SMEs Services Area,Korean Area, Cooperation and Exchange Area for Asian-European SMEs ,and International and HK, Macao and Taiwan Area . By 13th of this month,4608 booths have been booked ,including 1281 by overseas enterprises, of which 550 have been taken by Korean enterprises . It is estimated that this fair will attract exhibiting enterprises from more than 30 countries and regions . The CISMEF, so to speak, is a platform of “display,trade,communication and cooperation” for small and medium enterprises, helping promote exchange and cooperation between Chinese and overseas SEMs and encourage the former to gain healthy development
