Today is the new term open of Yiwu middle and primary schools. Yesterday,reporters informed from Yiwu Education Bureau that all teachers were come to school a week ago for study in order to get ready for new term.
Yiwu Xiangshan primary school held a "Shuoke" competition yesterday morning. There were Chinese group,Math group and Comprehensive group among 27 teachers. And given first,second and third class by judges who were new person and have high quality lessons of teaching.
"Shuoke" is an activity by which teachers study the teaching materials,discuss teaching method,and practice teaching methods to improve teaching level. It is a way to promote development of professional teachers.
Children have home work for summer vacation,teachers too. Yesterday,teachers in Yiting Middle School handed in their work. There were four works in teachers' vacation. First is reading. From the recommending of American teacher Rafe Espuith's "the miracle in No. 56 classroom",all the teachers were asked for reading one book for education and then hand in their experience for judging by experts before the end of vacation. Second,every teacher had to write an article about reflection of teaching,class or moral education,according to teaching situation of last term. And by the self reflection,teachers could improve teaching effectiveness. Third,make a survey among students. Fourth,make a plan for the professional development for the reality goals and ways for developing.
