The mayor of Parramatta City of Australia visits Yiwu

Sep 9, the mayor of Parramatta City of Australia Paul Garad leaded a delegation to pay a visit to Yiwu for three days. The aim is to investigate the development of Yiwu economy and society, meet enterprises face to face and sign a memorandum of friendly exchange.
The secretary of municipal Party committee Huang Zhiping met with the guests and talked with them friendly. Yiwu mayor He Meihua attended the business meeting between Yiwu and Parramatta and signed the memorandum with the leader of Parramatta City.
It is reported that Parramatta City is the sixth biggest city in Australia and central of western Sydney which is 24 kilometers far away from Sydney. Parramatta has diverse economic forms including food processing, manufacturing, retails and logistics, etc. Meanwhile, it is the biggest retail central in Sydney.
 At the end of May this year, the secretary of Yiwu municipal Party committee Huang Zhiping leaded a delegation visiting Parramatta City and hold Yiwu investment environment illustration meeting. Huang Zhiping said the visiting 3 months ago had impressed him a lot, especially Parramatta’s shopping center Xitian Market, compared to Yiwu market, it has higher grade and yiwu should learn from it. He also hoped that the delegation could offer some good suggestions to Yiwu during visiting.
Paul Garad said that Yiwu is the international small commodities distributing center and Parramatta is the developing business town in western Sydney. So there is a great potential of cooperating with each other.
