The Year 2007 witnessed a good momentum of continuous,healthy and rapid development in Yiwu's individual and private economy, with all the economic indexes rising as rapdily as usual.According to sources, there have been 116 thousand individually-owned business units in the city by the end of December 2007, and the total registered capital reached 32.5 billion yuan, increasing by 15.55% and 15.78 respectivaly over 2006.
Self-employed business units exceed 100 thousand
In 2007, the number of selfemployed business units exceeded 100 thousand,reaching 105,186,a rise of 14,134 over the same period of the previous year,up 15,52%. The industrial output of individual and private enterprises added up to 35.27376 billion yuan and the total sales volume reached 44.76819 billion yuan,up 21.1% and 17.2% respectively against the same period of the previous year.
The newly increased owners of selfemployed and private business were generally in the two traditional industries:manufacturing and retailing.Besides,some newly-developed industries increased rapidly,including industry of rental and commercial cervice,industry of information transmission, computer service and software,and industry of power, gas and water.Among them, the industry of rental and commercial service had 274 new enterprises in 2007, rising by 30.6% over the previous year,which was the field growing most rapidly,only next to manufacturing and retailing.
