The Third Session of the Thirteenth Municipal People's Congress Held Foreigners

I n the afternoon of February 16, the Third Session of the Thirteenth Municipal People 's Congress held foreigners group discussions . Mr . Ding Dingxing,Vice Director of
Standing Committee of Municipal People‘s Congress,and Mr . Li Xuhang,Vice Mayor of Municipal People's Government,attended the meeting . A dozen of foreign businessmen from countries like the USA,Japan,ROK,Venezuela ,Syria and Turkey participated in the discussion .
The discussion centered on the Government Work Report made by Mayor He Meihua . The foreign businessmen, who have diverse experience and background, freely expressed their
views and suggestions on the economic and social development in Yiwu. Among them areļ¼šthe acceleration of exhibition industry,led by Yiwu Fair,and the introduction of companies home and abroad to participate; the utilization of the reputation of Yiwu market to introduce more and better outside products,so as to build Yiwu market into a platform of international commodities trade; the strengthening of service and regulate the operation and behavior of the market; the improvement of credit management mechanism to prevent business risks; solving the problems of schooling of foreigners'children,medical service,cultural entertainment; supporting small-and-medium-sized companies to help them cope with the impact of financial crisis; strengthening the transportation management and raise the civility of the city .
Yiwu Municipal People's Government will carefully consider and absorb the views and suggestions put forward by the foreign businessmen . Leaders from Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau of Yiwu Municipal People's Government attended the discussion.
