The latest statistics issued by Yiwu Admnistration for Industry and Commerce on February 19 showed that the market turnover was 4 . 32 billion yuan in January this year ,an increase of 32 .68% compared to the same period last year . And the turnover of China Commodity City reached 2 . 525 billion yuan ,an increase of 7 . 17% compared to the same period last year .
In January the markets saw obvious rise such as Yiwu Non-staple Food Market, Yiwu Agricultural Products Trade Market and Yiwu Automobile Trade Market . The turnover of the automobile trade market was 2.04 billion yuan in one month ,an increase of 56 .7% compared to the same period last year . The turnover of the new non-staple food market was 973.5 million yuan, a great increase over the previous year. Besides, despite the unprecedented financial crisis the macro-economic overall situations have been better than before at the beginning of 2009 promoted by the relative policies of stimulating domestic demand.
Statistics from the customs showed that the Jinhua customs received 18902 export declarations in January and supervised 34218 TEU export containers, which were 11.4 % and 5.6 % higher than the corresponding period of the previous year respectively . And statistics from Yiwu Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation showed that the self-run export and import volume reached 198 million US dollars in January ,an increase of 13. 4% compared to the same period last year.
