Recently, Liu Jintu, director of Yiwu Exhibition Office, introduced indetails the five measures that will be taken to spur Yiwu exhibition industry to rapid development.
Firstly, how to renovate the managerial mechanism is a question of vital importance. On one hand, we shall make full use of the experience of developed cities in formulating administrative regulations for exhibition industry and in regulating the exhibition market and the industry order; on the other hand, we shall research into a guiding and coordinating mechanism between concerned government departments and exhibition halls, in order to enhance the management on the critical resources like exhibition halls, hoping to form a powerful administrative, supervisory and service force comprising the industrial administrative department as the leader ship and other dutiful related departments. In the meantime, we shall guide the develpment of self-regulatory organizations, expecting the effective role of the municipal exhibition association in self-regulation.
Secondly, we shall promote Yiwu fair and Yiwu Cultural Products Trade Fair through innovation, and foster and develop new projects like Yiwu Forestry Products Fair and China Tour Fair, which are expected to take the lead in the rapid and healthy deveopment of the city's exhibition industry.
Thirdly, we shall also consolidate the governmental guidance and strongly support professional exhibitions. We shall draw up a plan for the further development of the exhibition industry, accelerate the steps of building a famous exhibition city, strengthen the guidance in introducing the brand exhibition projects from home and abroad, encourage the exhibitions held by the whole society and in a diversified way, and integrate the resources, such as merging similar exhibitions, to foster a batch of large-scale brand exhibitions with over 500 booths.
Fourthly, we shall better the media's function in extending the influence of Yiwu exhibition industry, with the focus on publicizing Yiwu's integrated environment and advantages for holding exhibitions, so as to raise the popularity of Yiwu exhibition industry; and we will set up a website for Yiwu exhibition, so as to provide a communication platform for exhibitors and customers as well as for the cooperation between Yiwu and other well-known exhibition cities.
Fifthly, we shall pay much attention to the service in exhibition as well as talents introduction, so as to advance the exhibition environment, The exhibition office will center on the support on policy in future, reduce the cost of exhibition industry, perfect the hard environment for development of exhibition industry, and spare no efforts to solve the related bottleneck problems like traffic and accommodation. Presently, the new exhibition hall is under construction. The training and management of exhibition service staff and the establishment of mechanism for the exhibition talents' introduction, training and use will both be important links in the future work of the exhibition office.
