With t h e help of Yiwu market , Chongqing municipality in Southwest China has a new way to export its local specialties.
Various local produce, including Zhongxian fermented soybean curd, Three Gorges orange honey and Fuling pickled mustard tuber, will appear on the supermarket shelves in regions such as Southeast Asia,
Middle East and Africa.
Jin Jingdi, director of Chongqing hall in the fine-product exhibition and sales center of Yiwu food market, said that Chongqing
commodities can go global via Yiwu, the largest global commodities distribution center.
The Chongqing hall was put into operation in last January, and so far it has achieved a trade volume of 30 million yuan, with export taking up 30 percent.
