The world's commodities center is making changes. According to the preliminary scheme of Yiwu International Trade Comprehensive Reform Pilot Program approved by the State Council, Yiwu will be a worldleading commodities trade center, an important base for industrial upgrading and transformation, and a demonstration area of foreign trade development transformation.
The Yiwu International Trade Comprehensive Reform Pilot Program contains 9 missions, namely, exploring new trade model, optimizing the export structure, strengthening the market construction,
exploring modern communication model, promoting industrial upgrading and transformation, exploring international market, quickening the pace of "Go Global", integrating domestic and overseas trade,
and dealing with international trade barriers and frictions.
"Zhejiang owns the priority of experimenting transforming the pattern of international trade development," said Yao Zuoting, vice director of Zhejiang provincial development and reform commission.
Jin Fangping, chairman of the board of China Commodities City Group, said that the reform program aims to make the international trade more convenient. Take the tax reform for example. He hopes the rule could be abolished that any dealer with an annual sales volume of over 800,000 yuan is a compulsory general taxpayer, so as to standardize the operational actions of market dealers.
It is learned that the pilot program will be officially started in early May by Zhejiang provincial government.
