Exhibition enterprises for 2008 CYCPTF ready to show

According to sources, exhibition enterprises for the 2008 China Yiwu Cultural Products Trade Fair (CYCPTF) have made full preparations for this grand occasion, whose products will cover cultural & sports supplies, painting & calligraphy, curios, arts & crafts, cultural & artistic works, and wonder & ornamental stones . CYCPTF will be held from April 28 to May 2, with its theme “Cultural Exchange and Innovative Development”. Due to the strong demand, this exhibition has increased the booths from 1,500 last year to 2,000 at present, a rise of 39 .4%. The exhibition enterprises and institutions have exceeded 700 in number, which are from over 20 provinces and municipalities at home like Zhejiang, Guangdong and Shanghai and 28 countries and regions from overseas.

And 19 masters of arts & crafts on the provincial level or above will show their works as scheduled. Besides, 15 governmental delegations will also come to exhibit their products, which account for 30% of the total. It is predicted that professional visitors will exceed 60 thousand, of whom over 4,500 are from overseas.

So far, all those enterprises and institutions have been allocated the exhibition fields on the whole according to the industries they belong to. Over 40 kinds of cultural products will be observed in the fair, covering industries like cultural supplies, arts and handicrafts, painting and calligraphy, and network media originality, which are able to meet the different levels of needs from different businessmen and enterprises from home and abroad. The whole exhibition is made up of 7 halls: Halls One and Two are for cultural and sports supplies, and enterprises from outside the province account for 53 .3% of the total; Hall Three is mainly for arts and handicrafts; Hall Four is for the exhibition of top-class painting and calligraphy pieces as well as cultural exchange; Hall Five is an exhibition area for Ningbo and Lishui to show their products; Hall Six is for painting and calligraphy pieces as well as curios; and Hall Seven is for ornamental stones that have never been introduced to the exhibition before .

As the exclusive foreign-trade-oriented exhibition in the domestic cultural and sports industry, CYCPTF has distinctive features in the commodity trade. The exhibition is dominated by cultural products, and booths for cultural and sports supplies, arts & handicrafts, painting & calligraphy, and curios account for over 80% of the total, with the manufacturing enterprises of cultural products as the main body of exhibitors . Twenty-eight countries, including New Zealand, South Africa, Italy, Japan, and Uruguay, will exhibit in the International Cultural Exchange Area to display cultural products with exotic features, traveling and educational information, local customs and practices, and corporate cultures. And the Egyptian carny made up of 15 people will also show their local music and traditional dances .

Aside from the trade exhibitions, this fair will carry out a series of meetings, conferences and other activities.  The first-ever arrangement of “City Hall Day” and “Intercontinental Hall Day”, which aim to show the charms of different countries and regions, will add to the fascination of the fair as well . Besides, this exhibition divides the 5 days of exhibition period into professional visitors’ days and public days, effectively separating professional visitors from the non-professional visitors. In the public days, ordinary people will be admitted to share this cultural feast.
