It's learned from relevant departments recently that Zhejiang University-Yiwu Business Incubation Center (abbreviated as ZUYBIC), co-established by Yiwu municipal government and Zhejiang University, has already run smoothly and introduced 5 hi-tech projects .
The establishment of the ZUYBIC means the further implement of full science and technology cooperation between Yiwu municipal government and Zhejiang University . "The establishment of the center is the positive result of the reaction to the appeal of Entrepreneurship & Innovation put forth by Zhejiang provincial government to pro-mote the joint development of the most innovative university and the most passionate city ." Chen Zhangwei, the professor from Zhejiang University who takes charge of the management of the center told the reporter that the center will follow the requirement of the cooperation agreement between Zhejiang University and Yiwu municipal government to integrate the innovative resources of Yiwu and the advantages of Zhejiang University in technology and intelligence and therefore promote the industrial upgrade and transition of Yiwu and the fast, coordinate development of Yiwu economy .
It's learned that Yiwu municipal government will give helps to the center at the beginning while Yiwu Bureau of Science and Technology and Yiwu Economic Development Zone give directions to it . Besides, Zhejiang University willchoose10to20keymemberstotakecharge of the R & D and construction of the center. Professor Chen Zhangwei said that the center will mainly conduct business in the following three aspects： first, make the center the hatcher of science innovation in Yiwu to introduce hitech firms to Yiwu and promote the integration and the transfer of technology . Second, the center will set its development goal of key industry and establish public research and experiment platform for Yiwu economy by holding industry development forum, building product testing platform, enterprise technology consulting and service plat form and innovative design platform for commodities . Third, the center will introduce scientific research achievements from Zhejiang University and establish a research team to develop new products according to the requirements of Yiwu enterprises and will help the local enterprises to grasp new tech. On the other hand, the center will start scientific research to serve Yiwu economy by transferring scientific research achievements of Zhejiang University to industrial achievements in Yiwu to upgrade Yiwu economy and increase the technological content in Yiwu
economy .
