From January to September,Jinhua customs dealt with 212.5 thousand export declaration and 404.4 thousand standard containers from Yiwu market,an increase of 26.52% and 28.38% respectively compared to the same period of last year. The speed of increase is 8% higher than that at the same period of last year.

At the beginning of this year,a large-scale discussion named thoughts liberation and innovation was carried out to rouse people's awareness of the serious situation. At the same time,more than 200 million yuan was invested by the government to award the innovation of enterprises.
With the encouragement of the government,innovation becomes popular among Yiwu enterprises. From January to September,the number of application of patents and authorization of patents reached 1400 and 900 respectively. Enterprises with science and technology innovation become the important element of industrial economy increase. The price of voice-recognition dolls developed by Yiwu Toys Industry Association and capable of short conversations with embedded intellectual chips increases to more than 400 yuan from 100 yuan. The dolls sell well for export.
According to rough statistics,85% of the booths in Yiwu market have new products to boost the deal.
At the same time,Yiwu enterprises are trying to explore international market. According to Tong Yuanzhi,general secretary of Yiwu Toy Industry Association,Yiwu toys used to be exported to Europe and America and toy manufacturers turn to new markets such as Russia,Brazil and India as soon as the financial crisis occurred this year in America. Now,more than 100 kinds instead of 10 kinds of toys are exported to Russia. Many enterprises increase their export of toys actually.
In addition,propaganda to introduce the market to foreign countries through foreign counsel generals and exhibitions in foreign countries proved to be an effective way to attract purchasing companies home and abroad to set up offices in Yiwu. By the end of September,1899 purchasing offices had been set up by foreign business people from 83 countries and regions,an increase of 443 compared to the end of last year. It is the largest increase in recent years.
The home market is as important as the foreign market. To enlarge home trading volume,Yiwu government made policies to encourage the development of modern service industry. Promoting exhibition industry is the key policy and those who hold trade exhibitions of certain fields are to have financial subsidy. Leaders of Yiwu have been to Hunan,Xinjiang for several times to introduce Yiwu market and Yiwu International Commodities Fair. What's more,following the price index of small commodities,Yiwu market credit index has been published to start a new way to guarantee the transaction safety and market supervision.
