Recently, a reader Zhen Shanhu (not the real) who is doing jewelry business on 3rd floor in NO1 district of Yiwu International Trade City wrote a letter that the rent fee is increasing fast for one booth and under the pressure of appreciation of RMB, increased cost of materials and labors, the gross profit of jewelry has reduced a lot which she could not bear.
The reporter met with MS Zhen. She said that she has done jewelry business for 5 years in the market and the shop owner told her few days ago that the charge for the half shop would increase from 250,000 Yuan to 310,000 Yuan for a year. She calculated and found that she could own not much after giving 300,000 Yuan for rent, the tax, the expenses for car and workers.
