It was learned on June 16 from the Ministry of Finance that the policy of export tax rebate will be adjusted for part of the commodities from July 1 this year. This adjustment is said to cover 2,831 kinds of commodities, around 37% of all on the customs tariff.
The adjustment of the policy largely includes three aspects as follows: First, the export tax rebate of 553 kinds of high-energy-consuming and pollution-intensive resource products will be further abolished, which include send angered animals and plants and their products, mineral products like salt and cement, chemical products like fertilizer and dye, metal carbide and acticar bon products, leather, boards and disposable wooden products, ordinary-carbon welded tubes, simple products made of non-ferrous metals like unalloyed daluminumrods, and segmental ships and non power-driven vessels.
Second, the rate of export tax rebate of 2,268 kinds of commodities will be reduced because of their easy cause of trade friction. Those commodities mainly include clothes, shoes and caps, suitcases and bags , toys, paper products , vegetable oil , plastics and rubbers and their products , some rocks and pottery and their products , some steel products , low value-added electro mechanical products like coke ovens and motor cycles ,furniture , and ray on fiber.
Third, the export tax rebate of 10 kinds of commodities will be changed into tax-free export. Those 10 kinds of commodities include peanuts, oil paintings, carving boards, stamps, and fiscal stamps. "In view of the mitigation of export surplus as the main goal of this adjustment as well as the occurrence of problems during the transitional period for the policy adjustment last year, the content of the adjusted policy will be announced to the public in advance this year to get the enterprises prepared, in stead of setting a transitional period once more in the implementation of export tax rebate, "said the Ministry of Finance .
